Jokowi's Return To Solo Was Welcomed By A Group Of Young People's Mural Arts
JAKARTA - A group of young people in Solo, Central Java also welcomed Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s return by creating mural works on Jalan Slamet Riyadi.
Penggas karya mural Zidan Gaddafi di Solo, Jawa Tengah, Sabtu (19/10) mengatakan karya art tersebut menampilkan berbagai capaian positif selama ten tahun pemerintahan Jokowi.
"This mural captures Jokowi's vision of action which can be seen directly," he said, quoted by Antara.
He said several Jokowi's achievements, which were described in the mural, included the construction of toll roads, high-speed trains, smelters, and the success of Indonesia acquiring Freeport shares.
According to him, the collaboration work voiced the spirit and appreciation of the nation's development during the two periods of Jokowi's government.
He said the location of Slamet Riyadi was chosen so that it could be seen directly by Jokowi when passing.
"We hope that when he returns from Jakarta, he can see this work," he said.

He said the mural, which stretches along 10 meters with a height of 2.5 meters, is also a space for creativity and a form of youth participation in photographing the nation's journey.
Meanwhile, Jokowi is scheduled to return to his hometown in Solo after attending the inauguration procession of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Jakarta, Sunday (20/10).
After the farewell ceremony at the State Palace, Jokowi will immediately go to Solo in the afternoon.
