After The Death Of Yahya Sinwar, The US Together With Qatar And Saudi Arabia Discussed The Conflict In Palestine

JAKARTA - After the death of Hamas leaders, Yahya Sinwar, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with high-ranking leaders and diplomats in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, the US State Department said on Friday, October 18.

Launching ANTARA, Saturday, October 19, Blinken separately held telephone talks with Qatar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.

The three exchanged views on the situation and discussed efforts to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, according to a statement by the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His third conversation highlighted the importance of a roadmap for Gazans to "build up the city and their lives again" after the end of fighting, the statement said.

In addition, Blinken reaffirmed US support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict along the Blue Line, the de facto border between Israel and Lebanon, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

During the talks, it was delivered that US President Biden stressed the need for urgent action to secure the release of hostages in Gaza and reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people by ending the conflict that has lasted more than a year and killed more than 42,000 people in Gaza.
