East Kalimantan Pilkada Survey: The Electability Of Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji Unggungli Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi
JAKARTA - The National Network (CNN) released the results of the electoral survey of the two pairs of Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan in the 2024 Pilkada. As a result, the electability of the Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji pair outperformed the Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi pair.
"The survey results found that the top of Mind pair Rudy Mas'ud and Seno Aji were superior with an electability percentage of 50.2 percent. Meanwhile, the electability of the incumbent pair Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi was 30.2 percent with a swing of 19.6 percent of the voters," said CNN Coordinator Robbi Rosiade in a press statement, Saturday, October 19.
Meanwhile, in a closed simulation using a questionnaire and ballot card to select the two candidate pairs of Regional Heads of East Kalimantan, if the regional elections are held today, the survey results also show that the electability rate of the Rudy Mas'ud and Seno Aji pairs is increasingly superior with a figure of 57.2 percent.
"Then the incumbent pair Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi at 34.7 percent, and those who did not choose as much as 8.1 percent," he continued.
Robbi emphasized that the strong electability of the couple Rudy Mas'ud and Seno Aji could not be separated from the high rate of liking for a partner at 75.2 percent, compared to the incumbent couple Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi, which was only 58.2 percent.
"Although in public, the incumbent couple Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi are more popular where the Popularity Level reaches 81.8 percent of the pair Rudy Mas'ud and Seno Aji whose Popularity Level reaches 77.2 percent," he said.
He added that the low electability of Incumbents Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi also had a strong correlation with the level of satisfaction with incumbent performance which was only 46.2 percent, the success rate was 49.3 percent, and the level of wanting to return Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi to become governors and deputy governors of East Kalimantan in the next period was 39.7 percent.
"The low level of electability of Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi proves that one of the failures that Isran Noor admitted was the high poverty rate in East Kalimantan, which is an antagonistic with natural resources given to the province of East Kalimantan," he explained.

On the other hand, in the survey it was found that there were four major problems, according to residents of East Kalimantan, urging to be resolved. Prices of high basic necessities are the biggest pressing problem or 37.6 percent.

The CNN survey was conducted in the period 5-15 October 2024 through face-to-face interviews with respondents using instruments in the form of questionnaires and ballot cards.
The survey method used is the multistage random sampling survey methodology.
The sample number of 1,450 respondents with a margin of error of around +/-2.57 percent of each individual in the population has the same opportunity to be selected.
