Google Doodle Again Reminds Us Of The Importance Of Using Masks

JAKARTA - Google displays a short animation that reminds us to keep wearing masks when doing activities outside the home. This is always done as a form of new habit in the practice of preventing COVID-19, such as social distancing.

This Doodle animation shows how Google letters are wearing masks or face covers. Even though a COVID-19 vaccine has been found, it does not mean that people can be careless and do not comply with health protocols.

"Use a mask, save lives. Masks are still important. Because Covid-19 continues to impact communities around the world, help stop the spread by following these steps", Google wrote on its official website, Tuesday, April 6.

If you tap on the Google Doodle animation, the user will be directed to an information link related to health protocols and prevention of the spread of COVID-19. The link page also displays the total global COVID-19 cases.

Google also includes the official websites of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), UNICEF, and trusted sites in Indonesia that contain articles about the Coronavirus.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone must:

Clean your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Leave some distance between yourself and other people (at least 1 meter).
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth when you are around other people.
  • Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces every day.
  • The CDC recommends that people wear cloth face covers in public places and when around people outside their homes, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
  • Cloth face masks can help prevent people with COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others.

Apart from Indonesia, Google doodles today also appear in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay.

Not only that, Finland, Britain, Ireland, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, India, Cambodia, and Vietnam were also included in the list.
