The Issue Of Accumulating Yellow Cards, Jay Idzes Can Still Appear During The Indonesian Vs Japan National Team
The Indonesian national team defender, Jay Idzes, is certain to still be able to play in the match against Japan in the continuation of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round in November 2024. This was revealed by the Indonesian National Team Manager, Sumardji.
Previously, it was rumored that Jay Idzes had to miss the match against Japan on the fifth matchday of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.
The reason is because it refers to the 2026 World Cup Qualification regulations which require players to miss one match if they are hit by yellow card accumulation.

Idzes is known to have received a yellow card in the match against China, October 15, 2024. Previously, this Venezia FC player also received a yellow card against Vietnam in the Second Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification, March 26, 2024.
However, Sumardji said there was a yellow card bleaching between the Second Round and the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. That way, Idzes' opportunity to appear against Japan is clearly wide open.
"Jay Idzes did not accumulate cards because it (against Vietnam) was still in the Second Round. Meanwhile, for the Third Turnover, all bleaching. Only the Third Round was calculated," Sumardji said in a statement quoted on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Seeing this situation, the Indonesian national team will only lose Ivar Jenner when they host Japan. Jenner got a yellow card against Bahrain and China aka two consecutive matches.
"The only card accumulation is Ivar Jenner," said Sumardji.
Meanwhile, Sumardji was able to accompany the Indonesian national team against Japan later.
As is known, previously he was forced to miss guarding the Garuda Squad against China because he received a red card in the match against Bahrain.
