Rahsford And Greenwood Inter Win Manchester United Vs Brighton
JAKARTA - Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood led Manchester United to beat Brighton & Hove Albion with a score of 2-1 in the 30th Premier League match at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, England, Sunday local time (Monday WIB).
Reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 6, Rashford and Greenwood's goals ensured that MU rose after being left behind to halftime due to Danny Welbeck's goal at the start of the match.
The result made United win their third consecutive win in their non-existent trend, which has now lasted 10 games in a row.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team solidified second place in the standings with a collection of 60 points, four ahead of Leicester City (56) and 14 points behind city rivals Manchester City at the top.
Meanwhile, Brighton (32), which has had two consecutive wins ended, is stuck in 16th place, according to the official Premier League website records.
United almost took the lead after only eight minutes when a Bruno Fernandes pass was tried to be finished by Greenwood, but his shot hit the post.
Five minutes later, Brighton managed to steal the lead when Welbeck grabbed the ball from his own shot which was imperfectly secured by goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
Brighton had the chance to double their lead in the 19th minute when Lewis Dunk jumped high in the middle of the box to welcome Pascal Gross's free-kick, but this time Henderson was able to knock the ball over the crossbar.
The visitors continued to perform well throughout the first half despite the unlucky failure to increase their lead until halftime, including when Jakub Moder's volley was deflected by Rashford and only resulted in a corner.
MU entered the second half with a sharper attack unfortunately Rashford's neat opportunity after passing Adam Lallana was still able to be countered by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
The Red Devils 'hard work finally paid off in the 62nd minute when Rashford sprinted into the box to catch Fernandes' attractive pass with a curling shot that tricked Ben White and Sanchez into equalizing 1-1.

In the 83rd minute, Greenwood showed an even better reaction when he headed in a wild ball from Paul Pogba's imperfect volley in front of the Brighton goal and completed United's comeback which closed the match with a 2-1 win.
In the next match, MU will visit Tottenham Hotspur headquarters on Sunday, April 11 next week, the day before Brighton host Everton at the Amex Stadium.
Prior to that, on Thursday, April 8, Manchester United will first play the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Granada.
