Still New, Porsche Taycan Is Recalled Again Because Of The Rear Camera
JAKARTA - Porsche Taycan facelift or the 2025 model has marked its debut earlier this year. However, the progress of this refreshable sedan did not go well.
The German manufacturer announced a recall involving Taycan 2025 in the United States (US) due to an error in the rear camera system.
According to a Carscoops report, Friday, October 18, relatively small-affected vehicles amount to less than 200 cars across the US. According to Porsche, if Taycan had just detected the object in front of it, the visual function of the park assist would be automatically activated. However, if the system is triggered and backward teeth activate as soon as possible, the rear view camera may be inactive within the time required by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, thereby increasing the risk of accidents and damage to the body.
The main problem with the rear camera is that there is a software programming bug. In detail, 183 cars were affected, all of which were assembled between March 27, 2024, and August 19, 2024.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulator submitted a recall notice after the problem surfaced during a function resilience test in August. So, Porsche is required to clean up this issue.
The brand will notify owners of Taycan 2025 about the withdrawal by letter on November 29 by instructing them to take their vehicles to the dealer.
Technicians in each dealer network will program it with the latest datasets that ensure the rear view camera is functioning according to design.
This continued a series of less memorable for Porsche Taycan after previously the sedan was also affected by the recall in Uncle Sam's country. It was reported that 27,527 units of the model were involved because the EV battery module had the potential to experience a short circuit.
In the recall, the affected Porsche Taycan is a model from 2021 to 2024. The US safety regulator also added that repairs would be made by dealers by installing diagnostic software in vehicles or repairs for free.
