The Jakarta 'Tangerang Toll Rate Rises Starting Tomorrow, Check The Details

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) announced that there was an adjustment in tariffs for the Tangerang 'Merak Simpang Susun (SS) Tomang 'West Tangerang' Cikupa Toll Road on Saturday, October 19, 2024 starting at 00.00 WIB.

Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Widiyatmiko Nursejati said this tariff adjustment was in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) No. 2692/KPTS/M/2024 dated October 3, 2024 concerning the Determination of Motor Vehicle Types and Adjustment of Integration Toll Tariffs on the Jakarta Tangerang Toll Road and Tangerang' Merak Simpang Susun (SS) Tomang 'West Tangerang Cikupa Toll Road.

"Toll tariff adjustments have been regulated in Article 48 paragraph (3) of Law (UU) Number 38 of 2004 concerning Roads and Article 68 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation (PP) Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads with the last amendment to Government Regulation Number 17 of 2021," said Widiyatmiko in a written statement, Friday, October 18.

Widiyatmiko said, based on this regulation, the evaluation and adjustment of toll rates is carried out every two years based on the influence of the inflation rate.

"This tariff adjustment is also needed as a form of certainty of investment returns for Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) according to the business plan, building and maintaining a conducive toll road investment climate in Indonesia and maintaining and increasing the level of toll road services," he said.

In addition, he said, this tariff adjustment is certainly inseparable from Jasa Marga's commitment to always make improvements to improve services, namely in the fields of transactions, traffic and construction.

"This service increase is carried out as an effort to provide security, comfort and safety to toll road users," he said.

It is known that the Jakarta Tangerang Toll Road is one of the most important transportation infrastructures in the Jabodetabek area, stretching from Jakarta to Tangerang.

This toll road is the lifeblood that connects business centers and industrial estates also plays an important role in reducing traffic jams on non-toll roads.

Thus, shortening travel time and increasing transportation efficiency. Its existence has also made it easier to access tourist destinations in the Tangerang area and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, based on the Decree of the Minister of PUPR, the tariff adjustment on the Jakarta 'Tangerang Toll Road is under adjustment as follows:

- Group I: Initially IDR 8,000 to IDR 8,500

- Group II: Initially IDR 12,000 to IDR 12,500

- Group III: Initially IDR 12,000 to IDR 12,500

- Group IV: Initially IDR 15,000 to IDR 16,500

- Group V: Initially IDR 15,500 to IDR 16,500
