The U-20 Indonesian National Team Will Undergo The Advanced TC At The End Of October In Bali And Japan

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team will again undergo a training camp (TC) in preparation for the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup which will take place in China. The follow-up TC agenda will be held at the end of October 2024 in two places.

Previously, the Garuda Nusantara Squad was confirmed to have qualified for the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup after winning Group F in the qualifying round some time ago.

Preparations for the final round have also been programmed. One of them is continuing the TC series at home and abroad.

Indonesia U-20 head coach, Indra Sjafri, plans to call the 30 players for the TC.

"TC on October 26, 2024 in Bali. After that, we will go to Japan, on November 4, 2024. There we will conduct five trials," said Indra Sjafri in a statement quoted on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Indra Sjafri has not disclosed who the players will be called up to in the continued TC of the U-20 Indonesian national team.

"(There are) 30 players (called TC for the U-20 Indonesian national team). Yes (old player majority)," said the coach.

Of the 30 players summoned, Indra Sjafri said that the number was tentative. You see, he will re-implement the promotion and relegation of players according to the needs of the U-20 Indonesian national team.

"There are still players who are promoted and relegated," said Indra Sjafri.

The U-20 Indonesian national team qualified for the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup finals after winning the group in qualifying.

Garuda Nusantara earned seven points from two wins and one draw. Indonesia U-20 won over the Maldives (4-0) and Timor Leste (3-1) before playing 1-1 against Yemen.

The acquisition of Indonesia U-20 points is actually the same as that of Yemen. However, Indra Sjafri's troops took the lead in the goal difference.
