Remember The Capacity Of Restaurants And Cafes In Jakarta For Fasting Can Not Be More Than 50 Percent

JAKARTA - Many activities are carried out during the holy month of Ramadan, one of the most common is breaking the fast together. Given the restrictions on activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government stated that the capacity of restaurants in the capital city is still limited to 50 percent.

Acting Head (plt) Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Gumilar Ekalaya said there had been no changes to the rules regarding the capacity and operating hours of restaurants during breaking fast together. However, the government still opens input from entrepreneurs.

"Currently it is still 50 percent, we will try to explore it first, whether it will be improved or not. This is being discussed with PHRI, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. If it is open together, it is not a problem because it is still in operational hours until 21.00 WIB, so open with him at 18.30 or 19.00, it is still possible, only the health protocol must be maintained, the social distancing conditions must remain orderly, "said Gumilar during a virtual discussion, Monday, April 5.

However, Gumilar emphasized that the rules for this restaurant still follow the central government because it is still within the scope of the Java-Bali Micro PPKM policy and several cities in Kalimantam, Sumatra and Sulawesi.

"Of course, this should not allow an overlap between the regional and central governments," he said.

Meanwhile, the Association of Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants (PHRI) DKI Jakarta wants the government to increase the capacity of the number of visitors who can dine in at the restaurant to 75 percent during the fasting fasting period (bukber) during Ramadan.

Currently, the visitor capacity for dine-in can only be 50 percent. This policy was implemented because the government was still implementing Restrictions on Micro Community Activities (PPKM).

"In the past, it was 25 percent, now it can be 50 percent, later (during the fasting month) it is hoped that it can be further improved with a fixed record of health protocols, not too congested. Walu not 100 percent, yes, 75 percent, for example we hope," said the Chairman of the Regional Management Agency ( BPD) PHRI DKI Jakarta Sutrisno Iwantono

Not only the capacity of visitors, Sutrisno also wants operational hours to be increased. However, he did not mention the exact time, while currently restaurants are allowed to open until 21.00 WIB from before the pandemic reaches 22.00 WIB.
