Toyota GR Corolla Manual Transmission Predicted To Be Primadona, Even Though Auto Options Are Available
Toyota has launched a GR Corolla update some time ago with added performance and offered automatic transmission for the first time, which was previously only available in six-speed manual gear changes.

A Toyota spokesperson estimates that manual transmission is still in great demand by buyers, although an automated option has been added that makes it easier to change teeth and does not need to step on the third pedal.
"We estimate the distribution of 80 percent manual and 20 percent automatic," said a manufacturer spokesman quoted from CarBuzz, Friday, October 18.

Nevertheless, Toyota claims that automatic transmission of the GR Corolla has a variety of capabilities that are not inferior to manual and are designed intelligently so that it can adjust the change of teeth to the driver's driving style.

The 2025 Corolla GR is priced at starting at 38,860 US dollars (Rp603.3 million) for the basic variant of the Core with manual transmission to the most expensive Premium Plus with automatic gyrboks worth 47,515 US dollars (Rp737.6 million).
