Android 15 Starts Launching: Updates For Various Brands Coming Soon

JAKARTA After experiencing a bit of delay, Android 15 is now officially launched for Pixel devices with the latest monthly updates. Not only that, but other brands are also starting to open the door for the launch of the Android 15 update on their devices.

Google first released Android 15 on AOSP in September, but its launch for new Pixel devices started this week. With the start of the launch, the Android 15 update for non-Pixel devices is now also starting to follow.

Motorola has started rolling out Android 15 for Edge 50 Fusion, although it is still in beta, which is accompanied by an October 2024 security update. The initial list of Motorola devices that will get this update was revealed last week, but there has been no official schedule from Motorola.

Meanwhile, Asus has just announced a preview program for this week's ROG Phone 8 device, giving users the opportunity to try Android 15 earlier.

Previously, Vivo had announced plans to launch Android 15 a few weeks ago, with devices like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo X100, and iQOO 12 upcoming updates.

On Thursday 17 October, Oppo is also expected to announce further details regarding the Android 15 update. On the other hand, OnePlus is also expected to provide information about Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 in the near future, following several online teasers.

However, one major exception is Samsung, which confirms that the launch of One UI 7, based on Android 15, will be delayed until 2025.
