PSSI Will Evaluate The Appearance Of The Indonesian National Team
PSSI plans to evaluate the performance of the Indonesian national team under the tutelage of Shin Tae-yong.
The Garuda squad has only finished four Group C matches for the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification since September 2024.
As a result, Shin Tae-yong's troops earned three points from three draws and one defeat.
The journey of the Indonesian national team is fairly anticlimactic. They performed well holding back the series of two teams of giants Asia, Saudi Arabia (1-1) and Australia (0-0).
The Garuda squad then almost won against Bahrain. However, in the end, they had to settle for getting the results again after the match ended 2-2.

Most recently, the Indonesian national team, which is predicted to win their first victory when they meet China, even lost 1-2.
Therefore, the federation needs to evaluate before the Indonesian national team plays the remaining two matches of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round this year.
"We must continue to support the Indonesian national team when we win or lose. After they return from China, I will conduct an evaluation," said Erick Thohir, Chairman of PSSI.
The Indonesian national team is currently ranked fifth in the Group C standings for the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification with three points.
They are only ahead of China's goal difference at the bottom of the standings.
Furthermore, the Indonesian national team will play two home games against Japan (15 November 2024) and Saudi Arabia (19 November 2024) at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.
