Aldila Sutjiadi Qualifies For The Quarter Finals Of Ningbo Open 2024 Without A Duel
JAKARTA - Indonesia's mainstay tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi, did not sweat at all to reach the quarter-finals of the Ningbo Open 2024.
Aldila played in this WTA 500 level tournament in the women's doubles number. She is paired with tennis player from China, Xu Yifan.
The couple automatically advanced after their opponents Anna Danirina (Kazakstan) and Irina Khromacheva (Russia) were forced to withdraw. They could not compete because Danirina had a fever.
In the quarter-finals, Aldila/Xu faced a tough challenge against the Chinese pair, Zhang Shuai/Yang Zhaoxuan. Zhang Shuai was previously Xu Yifan's former partner.
Aldila hopes that her partner can go far in this temperament. He hopes to have the full support of the Indonesian people.

"We are very ready for the next match and hope to give our best. I am happy to be fighting with Xu and of course we will focus on facing Zhang/Yang in the quarter-finals," said Aldila.
Aldila was previously recorded to have appeared in the WTA 1000 Wuhan tournament. There, he was paired with Leylah Fernandez from Canada.
Aldila and Leylah who appeared solid advanced until the semifinals. Their journey stopped in that round after struggling hard against the United States pair, Asia Muhammad/Jessica Pegula.
