Pilkada Debate, Airin Initiates Banten Kartini Program For Family Protection And Education

TANGERANG - Banten governor candidate number one, Airin Rachmi Diany, initiated the Kartini Banten program which aims to provide protection for families. Airin made this statement at the inaugural debate on the 2024 Banten Regional Head Election (Pilkada) at the Bank Mega Jakarta Auditorium on Wednesday.

"We have the Kartini Banten program. Where there is protection for families, children, women. It is not only a matter of education, but also a matter of health and protection for violence against children and women," Airin said in a debate session. Airin realized that often girls are marginalized in terms of education when funds are limited. To overcome this, she is committed to providing scholarships to girls who want to continue their education to college.

"We are very present to provide scholarships to girls who want to go to school. Not even up to high school, but to college for Banten girls," said Airin.

This program also pays attention to outstanding boys, with the hope that education can change their fate.

According to Airin, science is an important provision for getting a job and improving the quality of life.

"It is not difficult to take knowledge everywhere, so with knowledge it will provide provisions to children so that they can get jobs, income, as prospective mothers as educators for children so that they live a better life," said Airin.

Kartini Banten's concept emphasizes the importance of education for all children, aims to reduce the dropout rate so that every child can complete education at least up to high school and continue to college.

"So that no more children drop out of school, at least they can go to school to high school, even to college," said Airin.
