2 South Sumatra Residents Arrested To Bring 2 Kg Of Sabu In Shoes At Kualanamu Airport, This Is The Appearance

MEDAN - There have been several attempts to smuggle methamphetamine drugs at Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. Two times, residents of South Sumatra were caught carrying 2.04 kg of crystal methamphetamine in their shoes.

The methamphetamine smuggling was revealed by the Avsec team at Kualanamu Airport, Monday, April 5. The two smugglers were Sukri and Anjasmara, residents of South Sumatra. The action of the two of them smuggling crystal methamphetamine was discovered after they underwent an X-Ray examination.

"Around 08.40, the Avsev KNO (Kualanamu) officer succeeded in thwarting drug smuggling," said Senior Manager of Operation and Service at Kualanamu Airport, Agoes Soepriyanto.

According to Agoes, during the search, the two men hid the illegal items in their shoes. After calculating the weight reached 2.04 Kg.

"(Their) mode is placed in 2.04 kg of shabu shoes and will be brought to Jakarta by Air Asia," he explained.

Currently the two suspects have been handed over to the North Sumatra Police Headquarters for further investigation.
