Ahead Of Ramadan, Pertamina Prioritizes Repair Of Houses Of Worship As A Result Of The Balongan Refinery Fire
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) promised to immediately repair houses of worship damaged by the fire of four oil storage tanks at the Balongan Refinery, Indramayu, West Java.
Repairing houses of worship is Pertamina's priority considering that a few days will enter the month of Ramadan.
"We want to prioritize repairing houses of worship, because the month of Ramadan will soon enter," said Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati during a hearing with Commission VII DPR at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta Monday, April 5.
Nicke said that repairing houses of worship would involve the community through self-management efforts. This is so that people can be absorbed in carrying out the worship of the holy month of Ramadan.
Apart from houses of worship, Pertamina will also repair damaged houses so that they can immediately occupy their respective residences.
"We have collected data for damaged houses. Our target wants them to immediately enter their respective homes, "said Nicke.
Nicke revealed that so far Pertamina is still investigating to find out the cause of the tank fire at the Balongan Refinery involving two groups of teams. Namely internal and external consisting of Pertamina officers, law enforcement officials to foreign experts.
