Israeli Military Kills Hamas Commander In Northern Gaza Leading Drone Attack

JAKARTA - The Israeli military claims to have killed a Hamas commander who led the militant group's drone operations in northern Gaza.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh is said to have directed a drone strike on Israeli territory and troops.

For more than a week, the Israeli military carried out intensive attacks in northern Palestine after carrying out new ground operations, citing signs of a resurgence of Hamas.

Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) said they had "dissolved" 50 militants in close-range meetings and airstrikes in Jabalya in northern Gaza over the past few days.

Elsewhere, in the southern Rafah region, armed terrorist cells planning to attack IDF forces were eradicated using drones, the military said.

The United Nations has warned Israel for closing the northern Gaza Strip and possibly carrying out large-scale forced transfers of civilians, which the United Nations says constitutes a war crime.

This comes as Israel has blocked all food from entering northern Gaza since the start of this month, according to the World Food Program.
