A Number Of Police Inspector Students Are Positive For COVID-19, While Those Who Are Negative Are Returned To The Related Regional Police

JAKARTA - Seven police officers have tested positive for the corona virus or COVID-19. Karo Penmas Div of National Police Public Relations Brigadier General Argo Yuwono said those who were infected were members who were currently studying at the Police Inspector School (SIP) in Sukabumi, West Java.

"It is true (positive), there are seven police officers who are currently students at SIP Sukabumi, West Java," said Argo in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 31.

Argo did not explain the identities of the seven students. However, Argo informed them that they were currently undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. These students were known to be positive for corona after undergoing rapid tests and swab tests.

The National Police also conducted tracing of their activities to ensure that no other students were infected. Meanwhile, students who were negative were returned to their respective Polda to undergo independent isolation.

"Our students return to their respective Polda and still have to undergo independent isolation for the next 14 days," said Argo.

Previously informed, based on data as of Tuesday, March 31, the total number of positive patient cases for COVID-19 reached 1,528 people and spread across 32 provinces throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, a total of 136 people died, and a total of 75 people recovered.
