Claims Close To Prabowo, Pramono: He Accepts Me In The Middle Of Busy Calling Ministers

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung claims to have close ties with President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

This, according to Pramono, was seen at his presence at Prabowo's residence on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta on Tuesday, October 16 at noon. Pramono attended and met Prabowo in less than an hour in the midst of deputy ministerial candidates and the head of the body being called Prabowo one by one.

"Indeed, personally I have a good relationship, and is close to Pak Prabowo, it cannot be denied. If not, it is impossible for him to be busy calling the ministers, accepting me for an hour, it is impossible," said Pramono at the Forkabi DPP Office, Cipete, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 16.

Pramono admitted that during the meeting, he prayed for Prabowo who would be sworn in on October 20. Likewise with Prabowo who prayed for Pramono in participating in the Jakarta Pilkada contestation.

Seeing Prabowo's positive response, Pramono emphasized that he would carry out policies as Governor of Jakarta in line with the Prabowo government, if he won the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"If I am elected governor, surely I will work well with Pak Prabowo and the existing government. For that, I believe Pak Prabowo has no doubts, because so far I have worked real with him for 5 years in his government," explained Pramono.

In addition, Pramono dismissed the notion that he had an offer to become a minister or head of the agency because he was also present at the summons of prospective Prabowo-Gibran cabinet officials.

"Could Mas Pram want to become a minister again? No! I will fight to win this gubernatorial election. I will work seriously to win this gubernatorial election," explained Pramono.

On that occasion, Pramono did not deny the discussion about the planned meeting between PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Prabowo in the near future. However, Pramono was reluctant to reveal the contents of the discussion.

"What is clear is that thank God I found it yesterday," he concluded.
