Called To Kertanegara, Yovie Widianto Will Be Prabowo's Staff For Creative Industry

Musician Yovie Widianto emphasized that he was not assigned as a candidate for deputy minister or candidate for head of agency in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.

"I may be more on the staff attached to the President to provide input," said Yovie after meeting Prabowo on Jalan Kartanegara, South Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 15.

But he has not dared to talk about the position in the next five years of government.

"I'm just giving input to the President. His job will provide input on how this creative industry is going, what the strategy is, and so on," he said.

He explained that his decades of experience could help future governments in the field of creative economy empowerment.

For 40 years I've been in this industry. Then I already know how and the parameters of our friendly countries, with Singapore, with Korea, (ever, ed.) cooperation so far. Maybe later we can accelerate this empowerment," he explained.

Previously, as many as 49 figures who were referred to as ministerial candidates were invited to meet President-elect Prabowo at his home, on Jalan Kartanegara, South Jakarta, Monday (14/10).

They were summoned to be placed in the post position of the ministry that Prabowo had prepared. The figures consisted of politicians, academics, and ministers from the era of President Joko Widodo.

Then on Tuesday, around 59 deputy ministerial candidates and candidates for head of the agency met Prabowo at his residence.

Some of them are celebrity Raffi Ahmad, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Giring Ganesha, to former athlete Taufik Hidayat.
