Terror Shooting In Israel, One Dead-Four Injured
JAKARTA - One person was killed and four others injured in a shooting near the Israeli city of Ashdod. Authorities have called this incident a terror attack.
One person is in moderate condition, said Assuta Ashdod Medical Center. The other two suffered minor injuries. The medical team said the person killed was pronounced dead on his arrival.
Another hospital, Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, said it received a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) said it received reports of two shootings at 11:06 local time on Jalan Raya 4, between Ashdod and Tel Aviv.
Israeli Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Asi Aharoni described the shooting as a "terror attack" on Israeli television. The shooter is said to have been handled.
