Former Army Chief Of Staff Dudung Defense Discussion When Called By Prabowo

JAKARTA - Former Army Chief of Staff General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurrahman admitted to discussing the defense with Elected President Prabowo Subianto at Prabowo's residence, Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, during the agenda of summoning deputy ministerial candidates.

However, Dudung has not confirmed the position to be held later in the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet. The reason, he said it would be conveyed by Prabowo.

"Yes, the focus is on defense strategies," said Dudung when asked about the issues discussed with Prabowo as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 15.

Dudung said that so far he had supported Prabowo Subianto. When he served as Army Chief of Staff, Prabowo was the Minister of Defense.

"I got the mandate from Allah SWT through his hands, the President was elected. Hopefully I can carry out this mandate as well as possible," said Dudung.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring until 15:55 WIB, around 44 deputy ministerial candidates or heads of agencies have met Elected President Prabowo Subianto.

A total of 44 candidates for officials for the Prabowo government cabinet who attended, including former Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Giring Ganesha and former athlete Taufik Hidayat.

After the 44 people, there was also a celebrity figure, Raffi Ahmad. He came with a group of about five people wearing batik.
