Stubborn Not Wearing Masks, 10 Foreigners In Bali Fined Rp1 Million Each, One South Korean Foreigner Detained
DENPASAR - As many as 10 foreign nationals (WNA) were fined Rp1 million each in the operation of the joint health protocol enforcement team in Canggu, Badung, Bali. Foreigners were fined for not wearing masks.
"Most of the people don't wear masks," said Bali Provincial Satpol PP Head, I Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi, Monday, April 5.
The foreigners who were affected by the prokes raids were 2 foreigners from the USA, 1 Turkish foreigner, 1 German foreigner, 3 French foreigners, and 3 Russian foreigners and there were three foreigners who were given summons because they could not pay fines on the spot. They are two foreigners from Russia and one person from the United States or USA.
In addition, the officers also gave verbal warnings to 31 other foreigners for not wearing masks properly. One foreigner from Korea is now detained by immigration authorities.
"Meanwhile, immigration detained because they did not bring money and identity that can be guaranteed for fines," he said.
In addition, there were two Indonesian citizens who were fined Rp. 100,000 for not wearing a mask. However, 10 other Indonesian citizens also received a verbal warning from the joint team officers for not wearing masks properly.
"For the verbal warning 41 people, 10 Indonesian citizens (there are) and 31 foreigners (there)," said Darmadi.
