2 Perpetrators Involved In The Theft Of PT Telkom Cable In Banyumas Arrested By Police, The Mode Is Pretending To Be Hoarding The Land

BANYUMAS - Officers of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ajibarang Sector Police together with the Mobile Investigation Unit of the Banyumas City Police Criminal Investigation Unit succeeded in uncovering the case of theft of cables belonging to PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. in Krarandom Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

"This theft case was revealed thanks to information from residents to the Ajibarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers who were on standby at the Ajibarang Police Headquarters on Saturday night," said Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Ari Wibowo accompanied by Ajibarang Police Chief AKP Heri Sudaryanto in Ajibarang, Banyumas, Antara, Tuesday, October 15.

Residents initially became suspicious of two people who were hoeing along the edge of Jalan Raya, Kraretas Village, RT 04 RW 04, Ajibarang District, Banyumas, on Saturday at around 21.00 WIB.

Therefore, the Ajibarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers immediately contacted the security unit (security guard) of the Automat Phone Center (STO) Ajibarang.

Furthermore, the Criminal Investigation Unit officers together with security guard STO Ajibarang on behalf of Wahyu Setiawan checked the location shown by residents. When asked by the officer, the two people who were curbing admitted that they were checking the cable.

However, when the officers again asked several questions, the two people looked confused so they were immediately secured to the Ajibarang Police Headquarters underwent interrogation.

"At that time there was heavy rain and around the location there were pieces of cables so they and the pieces of the cable were taken to the office," said Ajibarang Police Chief AKP Heri Sudaryanto explaining.

The next day, Sunday (13/10), after STO Ajibarang contacted the Office of PT Telkom Indonesia, Purwokerto Telecommunication Area, then re-checked the scene.

The check is to ensure that the pieces of cable found around the scene of the incident are cables belonging to PT Telkom Indonesia or not.

After PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Purwokerto confirmed that the pieces of the cable were telecommunication network cables belonging to Telkom, his party made measurements.

"The perpetrators are known to dig the ground using a hoe, then cut the KTTL (direct planting plots) using a iron saw and carried out randomly per goal. So, all five goals were cut," he said.

As a result of this incident, he said, Telkom suffered losses in the form of a 100-pair KTTL with a capacity of 250 meters long and a 20-pair KTTL with a total loss of IDR 42,800,000.00.

He said that the perpetrators with the initials RY (26) and IN (28), both residents of Brebes Regency, Central Java, are currently still undergoing examination at the Ajibarang Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.

"The evidence that we secured included a hoe, a machete, an iron saw, a blencong, a head flashlight, 28 large cable pieces with a length of 22.4 meters, and 34 small cable pieces with a length of 27.20 meters," said the police chief.
