Health Office Urges Bantul To Beware Of Dehydration In The Transition Season

BANTUL - The Health Office of Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, appealed to the people of this area to be aware of dehydration or conditions for lack of fluids in the body as well as other health problems during the transition season which tends to be hot at this time.

"With this weather, what is quite hot can certainly affect the physical condition of the community, what we are worried about is dehydration," said Head of the Bantul Health Service (Dinkes) Agus Tri Widiyantara in Bantul, Antara, Tuesday, October 15.

In addition to dehydration or lack of fluids due to the community's body, it is also advised to be aware of the sun's heat shock to the skin of the body, which of course can be a problem for those who are sensitive to sunlight.

"I hope the public is also more careful, don't stay out of the house too much, in the open and potentially exposed to a sun heat," he said.

He also appealed to people who routinely undergo outdoor activities or other physical activities to consume water to maintain body fluids.

"Then drink fruit juice, eat fruit fruit and so on to fill the body's fluids so as not to become dehydrated," he said.

He also said that in general cases or health problems that were checked into health facilities during the summer during the transition this season did not increase significantly, but the public was still advised to be careful.

"In the past, we suggested drinking eight glasses of water or two liters per day, maybe with conditions like this, people could drink more water so they don't get sick, because it's hot," he said.
