Vice President Inaugurates Construction Of Syekh Nawawi University Building Banten
SERANG - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin inaugurated and laid the first stone for the construction of the Syekh Nawawi University building in Banten, located in Kronjo District, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
"The Syekh Nawawi University Building in Banten will be built in 2024 on an area of 10 hectares," said Ma'ruf Amin after the inauguration was reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.
He explained that the building would be equipped with a number of facilities, including a rectorate building, faculty building, mosque, and also a ballroom.
"This university has also obtained permits with seven majors ranging from religious education, vocational education, to medicine, which are expected to be able to produce people who have special expertise," he said.
The vice president also said that the construction of the University building is targeted to be 100 percent completed in April 2025. And for the time being, students are still carrying out learning activities at the Syeikh Nawawi Islamic Boarding School.
"Until now, the construction has reached 30 percent, and in December 70 percent, because it is targeted that by April 2025 it has reached 100 percent, so that it can be occupied by students who are currently studying at Islamic boarding schools," he said.
Ma'ruf hopes that the existence of this university can make the people of Tanara and Keronjo get a good and decent education in the future.
In addition, the Vice President also aspires to make the university a center of information for Islamic civilization in Banten Province, and can make major changes in order to participate in national development.
"I ask for prayers to the whole community, so that later this university will become a university that will build the Banten area into the center of Islamic civilization," he said.
