BRI Pamulang Fires Sales Marketing Involved In Corruption Of IDR 1.2 Billion KUR Funds

JAKARTA - The leader of the Indonesian People's Bank (BRI) Pamulang Branch Office Reza Cahya Dwiputra has fired or given termination of employment (PHK) to YSK (29), sales marketing or foreign workers involved in the corruption case of the People's Business Credit (KUR) distribution fund of Rp1.2 billion.

"BRI has taken firm action against the perpetrators who have harmed BRI both materially and immaterially by layoffs, as well as processing legally with those concerned," said Reza in Tangerang, Antara, Monday, October 14.

He conveyed that the termination of work given by BRI was a form of the company's commitment and firmness towards unscrupulous employees who participated in corporate crimes.

In addition, BRI is committed to respecting the entire ongoing legal process and giving the highest appreciation to law enforcement officials who have acted quickly by arresting and processing the perpetrators.

"For this incident, BRI also guarantees that no customers will be harmed," he said.

BRI has currently implemented zero tolerance for all fraud and unlawful acts and upholds the values of good corporate governance and prudential banking in all banking operational activities.

It is known that the South Tangerang District Attorney (Kejari) has named two suspects in corruption in KUR funds worth IDR 1.2 billion.

The main suspect in this case with the initials YSK (29) is a sales marketing or mantri of the BRI KUR program at the Pamulang Branch Office. He was assisted by DW as the broker in charge of falsifying debtor data.

As a smooth process of investigation in this case, the two suspects were detained for the next 20 days at the Tangerang detention center (Rutan) and correctional institution (LP).

"The Investigative Team detained the YSK suspect at the Class II A Pemuda Tangerang State Detention Center and the suspect DW at the Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution Tangerang for 20 days," said South Tangerang Kajari Apsari Dewi.
