Arriving In China, The Indonesian National Team Cares For The Results Of The Bahrain Opponent And Focuses On Finding Evidence

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team arrived in Qingdao, China, on Friday, October 11, 2024, evening WIB.

The visit to China is the agenda for the fourth match of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification which will be held at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium on October 15, 2024.

The Garuda squad was asked to forget the controversial series against Bahrain on October 10, 2024.

As is known, Shin Tae-yong's team failed to win after Bahrain managed to equalize in the 90+9 minute.

The injury time was controversial considering referee Ahmed Al Kaf and the fourth referee's official decided to have an additional six minutes.

Now, they must focus on the match against China as well as look for proof that the Indonesian national team deserves victory.

"The first chance of winning must be released in injury time. Next, I ask everyone in the Indonesian national team, players, coaching teams, and officials to focus on the next match against China."

"Prove that we can steal more points at home to the opponent. I also ask the supporters to continue and don't stop giving mental support to the Indonesian national team players," said PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir, on the PSSI website.

China became a team of prisoners in Group C because they always lost in the previous three matches. They are currently at the bottom of the standings.

However, the chairman of PSSI did not want Indonesia to underestimate China's eyes.

In essence, the Garuda Squad focuses on preparing itself as well as possible because these two away matches are tough.

In addition to the long journey directly from Bahrain to China, the Indonesian national team was also faced with different weather conditions.

"Moreover, the situation is different. Starting from the weather, physical readiness, including recovery, to opponents who have ambitions to get their first point. This must be focused and vigilant," said Erick Thohir.

The Indonesian national team is now only one better ladder than China in Group C. Jay Idzes and colleagues are in fifth place with three points.
