The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Expressed That The Integrity Assessment Survey In South Kalimantan Has Dropped After Determining Uncle Birin As A Suspect
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the survey of integrity assessments (SPI) in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) decreased. In fact, this province is at a vulnerable level because it got a score of 72.54 in the 2023 period.
This was conveyed by the KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo after the anti-corruption commission appointed the Governor of Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin as suspects for receiving bribes and gratuities. This determination was made after a hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out in the area.
"Based on the results of SPI 2022 and 2023, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government has decreased. In SPI 2022, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government received a score of 73.76 or was categorized as vigilant, while at SPI 2023, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government received a score of 72.54 which was included in the vulnerable category," Budi said in a written statement quoted on Saturday, October 12.
At SPI 2023, continued Budi, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government was weak in the assessment of BPK auditors, BPKP, DPRD KPK and Polri extortion saber. The score in the five sectors is only around 57 to 67.
This condition made the KPK ask for integrity to prevent corrupt practices within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government's Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) from increasing. "As for this year, SPI measurements are still ongoing involving 41 universities throughout Indonesia," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK named a total of seven people as suspects in the case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises by state officials or representing them in South Kalimantan Province in 2024-2025. This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Sunday, October 6.
