JAKARTA - The weekend in Jakarta makes people want to release fatigue from their daily activities. For those of you who fill the weekend holidays, there are several tourist recommendations from the DKI Provincial Government that can be visited, from the Jakarta Running Festival to exhibitions at the Maritime Museum.
Quoting Antara, here are a number of events recommended by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to fill your weekend holidays.
1. Jakarta Running Festival
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta will hold the Jakarta Running Festival 2024 around Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on 12-13 October 2024. The Jakarta Running Festival on Saturday (12/10) will start at 05.30 WIB until 07.30 WIB for the 5k and 10k categories with approximately 10,000 runners.
Meanwhile, on Sunday (13/10) the event will start at 03.00 WIB until 09.90 WIB for the 21k and 42k categories with approximately 6,000 runners.
2. Cultural Heritage Exhibition : The spice route for the exchange of economic and cultural commodities
This exhibition is an exhibition held at the Maritime Museum, Jakarta which takes place from July 16 to October 26, 2024, which tells the history of the journey and trade of the archipelago that has a big influence on the world.
The Spice Route also represents the wealth and diversity of Indonesian culture. This exhibition features various collections, including: Nusantara Spices, Surosowan Palace gate fragments, Kerangkan Kebaya, Miniatur boat canoe, Replica Prasasti Dalung.
3. The Local Market Peruri
The Local Market Peruri is a local handicraft product bazaar held in Peruri City, South Jakarta on 11-13 October 2024 from 10.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB. This activity aims to facilitate sales of local handicraft products, encourage a sustainable lifestyle, and improve the Indonesian economy by displaying local products made in Indonesia that have been curated and have a social impact
In addition, the bazaar is also equipped with performing cultural arts through dances and strains of gamelan music and local musicians
4. Tuban Batik Exhibition
The Tuban Batik Exhibition was held by the DKI Jakarta Culture Service which was held at the Textile Museum on Tuesday, October 1 to Sunday (6/10) from 09.00 to 15.00 WIB. This exhibition presents 83 collections of Tuban Batik fabrics owned by the Textile Museum, Indonesian Batik Foundation and Batik collectors.
