The Company Owned By The Conglomerate Dato Tahir Gets A New Investor, Liang Xian Deposits Rp.586 Billion Hold 12.39 Percent Of Bank Mayapada's Shares
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk has just got a new investor. Liang Xian Ltd, a company based in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), now controls 12.39 percent of the bank's MAYA-coded shares.
Quoted from the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, Monday 5 April, Liang Xian entered the company owned by conglomerate Dato Tahir through the mechanism of implementing a limited public offering (PUT) XIII for the issuance of new shares with Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD/rights issue).
Liang Xian bought up 1,466,033,913 MAYA shares for IDR 400, so the company deposited funds worth IDR 586.41 billion. As a result, they directly hold 12.39 percent of MAYA's shares from previously zero.
"This share purchase transaction was carried out on March 24, 2021", wrote a letter signed by the President Director of Bank Mayapada, Hariyono Tjahjarijadi, and MAYA Corporate Secretary Jennifer Ann.
Previously, Bank Mayapada agreed to conduct Limited Public Offering XIII by issuing Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) to a total of 5 billion ordinary shares in the name of Series B.
In the press release of Bank Mayapada on January 4, 2021, in connection with the implementation of LPO XIII, the EGMS also authorized the board of directors to determine the terms, ratios, the exercise price for the shares to be issued, an indication of the HMETD offering schedule, and to do everything related to the PUT XIII.
