Pandawa Agri Indonesia Wins First Best Award At SDGs Action Awards 2024
Pandawa Agri Indonesia proudly announced its victory as the first winner in the SME/Startup category at the 2024 SDGs Action Awards organized by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas).
The prestigious award, which was presented by Ma'ruf Amin, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, on Monday, October 7, 2024, gave his appreciation for the extraordinary contribution of Pandawa Agri in encouraging sustainable agricultural practices and supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.
The SDGs Action Awards 2024, which is now entering its third year, celebrates the achievements of stakeholders who are committed to accelerating the implementation of SDGs throughout the country. With the theme "Innovation Towards a Golden Indonesia: Regarding Quality Education, Work and Green Industry", this year's award highlights the important role of innovation in promoting Indonesia's sustainable future.
Pandawa Agri Indonesia received this award by showing its efforts as a pioneer in reducing the use of pesticides through innovative technology, which supports the goals of SDGs such as sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and health.
"This award is a testament to our dedication in creating a more sustainable agricultural ecosystem. We hope this award will provide added value for our clients and consumers who have worked together in an effort to reduce the use of pesticides, contribute to a healthier environment, and in line with the goals of global SDGs," said Pandawa Agri CEO Kukuh Roxa, in his statement, Friday 11 October.
The impact of Pandawa Agri has spread beyond Indonesia. Since 2021, the company has collaborated with FGV Agri Services Sdn Bhd in Malaysia to introduce innovative pesticide reductance technology, which helps reduce pesticide use and encourage a more sustainable agricultural sector.
This collaboration has yielded significant results, with nearly one million liters of pesticides expected to be reduced in Malaysia by the end of 2024. This partnership continues to grow, with the renewal of the agreement recently signed at the Trade Expo Indonesia 2024 event, Wednesday, October 9.
As a company that is strongly committed to integrating the principles of SDGs into its core operations, the award-winning Pandawa Agri initiative reflects innovation, inclusiveness, sustainability, and long-term benefits. Through its various efforts, the company seeks to support and accelerate the achievement of SDGs both locally and internationally.
This admission further strengthens the determination of Pandawa Agri to continue to pioneer innovative and sustainable solutions and expand its positive impact on global agriculture.
