Chery Plans To Boyong Tiggo 8 PHEV To Indonesia, But

Chery has a variety of complete models in China, from conventional combustion engine (ICE) models, hybrids to Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).

Based on the above options, PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) plans to present Tiggo 8 PHEV to enliven the Indonesian automotive market. This was revealed by Assistant President Director of PT CSI Zeng Shuo.

"We are not only focused on ICE, but there is also a third generation PHEV Platform from Tiggo in China but a left wheel," he said, when met in the Jakarta area, recently.

Furthermore, he said, Chery himself has plans to present a right steering version in 2025, but there are several things that need to be considered.

"We have a plan to try picking the right steering wheel in 2025, but also depending on the policy from the government," he added.

Zeng Shuo said that Chery believes (carrying the PHEV model) is also a solution other than BEV and ICE, to reduce emissions, especially in Indonesia.

"We from Chery believe that it is also a solution apart from BEV and ICE, the products that will help us reduce emissions and increase customer experience. But wait for the government policy. There is a market, the price is suitable, consumers can accept it," he concluded.
