Badminton Champion Student Becomes A Victim Of Bullying, Not Entering School For 2 Months

JAKARTA - An outstanding student became a victim of bullying at a Madrasah in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 10.

The victim, Zaskia Zulaika, a grade 11 student, experienced psychological trauma over bullying by her friends at school.

Even the impact of the bullying, Zaskia was forced not to go to school because she was traumatized.

In fact, the student is an outstanding student who has won Badminton matches throughout Central Jakarta by winning 2.

"Juara 2 badminton tahun 2023 di Jakarta Pusat. Sudah dua bulan saya tidak sekolah dari akhir Agustus sampai sekarang," kata korban kepada wartawan, Kamis, 10 Oktober.

The victim said that his parents had asked for a letter to move to school but did not get a good response from the school.

"Parents asked for a letter to move to school but the school did not give it and even I thought I had left school," he regretted.

The victim admitted that he often received bullying from a number of his friends at the school. For example, he was told to climb for decoration under coercion by his friends. In fact, the victim was threatened with being slapped.

"Threats at school have been frequent, on whatsapp only once. Bullying has also occurred when determining seats. They shouted at me, after that I was avoided and often occupied," he said.

For this bullying, Zaskia felt uncomfortable learning again and was traumatized by being at the school.

"The principal actually considers my problem trivial. I don't think this is a trivial matter and I don't want to go back to school anymore. I've won 2 badminton in 2023 in Central Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, Ita, the victim's parents, hoped that the bullying case would be quickly resolved. One of the first steps is to move the daughter's school.

"My hope is that the school will issue a transfer letter. It's a pity that my son doesn't go to school," he added.
