Kominfo Collaborates With IBM To Create Digital Transformation Jumps
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information has signed a memorandum of understanding with IBM Indonesia, to accelerate the digital transformation of the government sector, as well as create a leap of digital progress in Indonesia in the future.
This collaboration will cover three aspects, namely the development of human resources in the digital field, strengthening readiness and skills in utilizing the latest technology in the future, and also increasing technological utilization in digital-based governance and governance.
"I, as the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, seriously ask global technology companies such as IBM to always encourage knowledge of transfers as well as technology transfers in various collaborations with Indonesia," said Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi in his official broadcast on Wednesday, October 9.
Budi also encouraged the transfer of knowledge and technology in supporting the use of digital technology in the government sector. According to him, this effort is a form of contribution and commitment in supporting national digital transformation.

He said that currently large leaps are needed to realize national economic growth by 8 percent per year, towards Indonesia Gold 2045. This is because digital transformation contributes to the growth of Gross Domestic Revenue (GDP) Nasional.
Data from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas show that in 2023, the contribution of digital transformation acceleration will only reach 4 percent. In 2045, it will increase to 19 percent with an added value of IDR 22,513 trillion.
