Two Figures Who Determines The Unity And Direction Of The Nation

JAKARTA - ideas, ideas, thoughts and ideals cannot be turned off in any way. This is about a political character driven by ideological beliefs and education of life for the people, nation and state. And everything can be obtained at the house of the first president, Soekarno in 1960. The place is known as the Palace of Batu Tulis.

The Batu Tulis Palace stands on an area of 3.8 hectares located in Bogor, West Java. This palace was built by President Sukarno who assigned architect RM Soedarsono in 1961. President Sukarno named the Batutuli Palace as Hing Puri Bima Cakti with almost the same architectural characteristics as the Tampaksiring Palace in Bali.

The Batu Tulis Palace was taken over by the state by President Soeharto. Until the administration of Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur, the management rights were returned to Soekarno's heirs.

An agreement between PDIP and Gerindra was born on Batu Tulis. The agreement was signed in 2009 for the 2014 political agenda. The public also paid attention to the closeness of the two party leaders, Megawati and Prabowo. Will Megawati and Prabowo Subianto's meeting be held and repeated at this historic place? And is it possible that one of the discussions related to the coalition or joining the PDIP in the Prabowo government?

PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah confirmed that the meeting of the PDIP General Chairperson and Gerindra General Chair and President-elect Prabowo Subianto would not discuss the coalition. The second meeting is planned to take place before Prabowo is sworn in as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia on October 20.

"The matter of the coalition will definitely not be discussed, because the meeting was not a transactional meeting, joined not to join, but to a meeting of fellow compatriots," said Said, Thursday, October 3.

According to Said, Megawati and Prabowo will exchange ideas as leaders of the nation. Where Megawati is the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia. And Prabowo Subianto is currently the elected president. However, Said's statement seemed not in line with the statement from Puan Maharani which stated the possibility of PDIP being united in Prabowo's cabinet.

PDIP Supports Prabowo's Government

According to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mega has the prerogative to determine party policies. Including joining the Prabowo government or not. "In the world of politics, nothing is impossible. Maybe (joining the Prabowo government)," said Puan to reporters at the Parliament Building of the DPR, October 1.

Then, when was the Mega-Prabowo meeting held? Puan could not confirm yet. However, he emphasized, the meeting will be held as soon as possible. "God willing, there will be a meeting (Mega and Prabowo)," he said.

Puan said that Megawati's meeting place with Prabowo would not be at the Batu Tulis Palace, but in the two places owned by the elected president, namely, Hambalang or in Ketanegara.

Puan's statement seemed to hint at the support of the party bearing the white-nosed bull to the upcoming government. VOI sources say that the cooperation between PDIP and the upcoming government has been running with the sign of Puan Maharani as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the period 2024-2029.

"It is certain to support, because of what, Mbak Puan has become chairman of the DPR. All government programs are Mbak Puan who is stuck. However, her affirmation still supports Megawati's statement," he said.

A VOI source said the meeting between Prabowo and Megawai would run between two places, namely the Batu Tulis Palace or Hambalang. "Most likely at the Batu Palace. A meeting after Pak Prabowo's return," said the source.

Meeting Will Make Democracy Run Peacefully

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said PDIP would hear all the will of the grassroots. However, his decision will refer to ideological attitudes. He also mentioned the discourse of meeting Mega with Prabowo. According to him, the new meeting will be planned after the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia arrived in the country after a visit from Russia and Uzbekistan.

"After coming from there, of course, we will find the right moment for the two leaders to have a dialogue and meet," he explained.

Hasto believes that with this communication, Indonesia can overcome various challenges, such as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, then the unfinished Russia-Ukraine war, and food problems which are also challenges in the economic sector.

"Everyone needs smart views and dialogue between leaders such as Mrs. Mega and Mr. Prabowo. Of course, PDIP is committed to its struggle for the nation and state without end so that the commitment is brought in much more important than just matters related to practical politics or the picture of the cabinet going forward," he said.

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, said that the meeting with Megawati was part of Prabowo's efforts to build major reconciliation to support the future government.

According to Muzani, Prabowo will also embrace all parties to carry out the work program that has been prepared. Political Observer Hendri Satrio (Hensat) assessed that the meeting between Elected President Prabowo Subianto and PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had to be realized in order to improve the nation.

"In fact, the people have high hopes that this meeting between Prabowo and Megawati will create a new positive thing for Indonesia, one of which is to improve the joints of the life of the nation which is deemed to have been damaged," said Hensat in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 8.

The meeting between the two, continued Hensat, is also considered by the community to reduce political tension which had heated up during the 2024 presidential election.

"As we both know that in the last presidential election, this norm is a serious discussion of ethics, so these two leaders are expected to clarify norms, restore ethical routes to the place where they return good and healthy norms in democracy to their place," said Hensat.
