President Jokowi Cares For Personal Goods At The Palace Ahead Of His Retirement

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has started packing his personal belongings at the Jakarta Presidential Palace to be moved to a private residence in Solo, Central Java, ahead of retirement as of October 20, 2023.

The news was conveyed by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno while visiting the office of the Jakarta Presidential Palace journalist, Tuesday, October 8.

"It's starting to pack. He said the head," said Pratikno when confirming the news that Jokowi had started packing goods at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA.

When asked, what personal items were packaged by Jokowi, Pratikno said that the items were in the form of collections of books, photos, and batik that Jokowi often used to work.

Pratikno also had time to convey his interest in having one of the batik from Jokowi's collection. But the request has not been granted by the President.

"I just asked the President, the batik collection is good. I see at every event, Mr. President's batik is relatively change, yes, I'm also interested, I ask for one pack," he said.

President Jokowi, who was sworn in on October 20, 2014, has led Indonesia for two terms. He was re-elected in the 2019 general election and will retire on October 20, 2024.
