20 Indonesian Citizens From Lebanon Have Returned To Indonesia

TANGERANG - As many as 20 Indonesian citizens (WNI) and one Foreign Citizen (WNA) from Lebanon have returned to Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten.

The return of dozens of Indonesian citizens after traveling from Amman, Jordan, using Qatar Airways QR967 on arrival at 07.49 WIB.

"The return of Indonesian citizens from Lebanon has arrived for the fifth wave. A total of 20 Indonesian citizens and one foreigner used Qatar Airways QR967 at 07.49 WIB," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Protection of Indonesian Citizens for the Middle East Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) Akhmad Baihaqie as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 7.

Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it noted that 20 Indonesian citizens and one foreigner entered the fifth wave at the evacuation stage from Jordan.

Saat ketibaran di Indonesia seluruh WNI tidak mengalami hambatan kemigrasi terkait perizinan dari pihak Lebanese.

"The Lebanese government responded quickly and gave permits and completed the entire immigration process," he said.

Meanwhile, one foreigner who was also evacuated was the wife of an Indonesian citizen who lived in Lebanon. However, not all Indonesian citizens can leave Lebanon because of the many considerations they took.

"For example, considering family, academics, and other things that cannot be intervened. To our citizens in Lebanon, we urge them to participate in the evacuation process, which the Indonesian government is currently still trying to do," Baihaqie said.

Indonesian citizens were evacuated from Jordan on Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2024. The Indonesian citizens came from various areas such as Jakarta, Riau, West Java, Aceh, and Central Java.
