Supporters Who Want To Watch The Jakarta Pilkada Debate Are Urged To Come Early To Be Orderly And Smooth

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Wahyu Dinata, reminded supporters of the candidate pair (paslon) for governor and deputy governor who wanted to witness the inaugural debate to arrive early.

The Jakarta 2024 Pilkada Debate will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (6/10) starting at 19.00 WIB.

Three pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor will participate in the debate, namely Ridwan Kamil-Suswono with serial number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana with serial number 2, and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno with serial number 3.

"We want to ensure that the debate runs in an orderly and smooth manner. For supporters of the candidate pairs, we urge them to attend early, between 17.00-18.00," Wahyu said in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara.

In addition, Wahyu also emphasized the importance of audience discipline during the debate, so that the event can run in an orderly manner according to the guidelines of the moderator.

Furthermore, Wahyu conveyed that the DKI Jakarta KPU had made thorough preparations for the event. This debate will raise the theme "Strengthening Human Resources (HR) and Transformation of Jakarta Towards Global City."

"We at the KPU of DKI Jakarta Province have also selected panelists from various backgrounds, such as urban experts, academics, professionals, legal experts, and representatives from generation Z," said Wahyu.

He also emphasized that integrity is very important in this debate process. For this reason, all parties involved have signed an integrity pact to ensure neutrality during the debate.
