BMKG Predicts Rain In Parts Of Jakarta To Continue Until Early Sunday

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that parts of Jakarta will experience rain which could potentially be accompanied by lightning and strong winds on Saturday.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in the areas of North Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta and the Thousand Islands at night and early morning", said a warning quoted by Antara from the website bmkg.go.id, in Jakarta.

As for the complete details of the capital's weather forecast on Saturday afternoon, light rain is expected to fall in West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are predicted to be cloudy.

On Saturday night, the BMKG predicted that the entire area of Jakarta would experience rain with the potential for heavy rain in the Thousand Islands.

The rain is expected to continue until Sunday, April 4 in the morning in all areas of Jakarta and the Thousand Islands, with the exception of South Jakarta which is predicted to be cloudy.

The capital's average air temperature throughout Saturday is estimated to be in the normal range of 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

With the relative humidity level of the air during Monday fluctuates in the range of 80 percent to 100 percent.
