Pandemic COVID-19, KPK Prisoners Visited Through Video Conference
JAKARTA - The KPK closed prisoner visits until the end of March because of the corona virus pandemic or COVID-19. This policy was extended until April.
"Acting Karutan, KPK branch, Ristanta again adopted a policy regarding the postponement of visiting services for detainees of the KPK branch of the Prison, which will be extended until April 21, 2020," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, March 31.
In exchange, said Ali, detainees could be visited by their families or their legal advisers through video conference facilities which began to be accessed on Wednesday, April 1.
"Visits can still be made and will be carried out online via video conference (vicon) starting April 1, 2020, according to the schedule of visits every Monday and Thursday from 10.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB," said Ali.
The following is the WhatsApp number that can be contacted to conduct a video conference with KPK detainees

In addition, the KPK also canceled the schedule for witness examination due to the outbreak of the corona virus. It is not certain how long the schedule for the witness examination will be canceled.
This decision was also taken after the investigation team coordinated with the witnesses who were scheduled. As a result, the KPK said that these witnesses asked for a reschedule because they were following President Joko Widodo's advice to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from examining witnesses at the KPK, the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court was also held online via video conference.
