BMKG Forecasts Weather Today Cloudy In Parts Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts cloudy weather and rain will be experienced by most cities in the territory of Indonesia, including the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in several areas on weekends.
BMKG forecaster Andika Hapsari said in an online weather forecast quoted from Antara, in Jakarta, Saturday, October 5, that rain has the potential to fall in Sumatra, including light rain in Medan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Jambi, and Palembang as well as thunderstorms in Pangkal Pinang, Bengkulu, Bandar Lampung, and Tanjung Pinang, as well as Banda Aceh experiencing air weather running away.
Meanwhile, for the Java Island area, light rain can be experienced by those in the Serang and Bandung areas. He explained that the BMKG predicts that the areas of Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya will experience thick cloudy conditions, while Yogyakarta will be cloudy.
In the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, BMKG warns of the potential for light rain in the Denpasar area, while Mataram and Kupang can experience cloudy weather conditions.
BMKG also predicts rain will occur in the Tanjung Selor and Pontianak areas which can be accompanied by lightning, while Palangka Raya will experience light rain. The Samarinda and Banjarmasin areas have the potential to experience cloudy conditions.
On the island of Sulawesi, light rain is predicted by BMKG to occur in Mamuju, while Palu and Manado experience light rain. Cloudy conditions will be experienced by Gorontalo, Kendari, and Makassar.
For eastern Indonesia, BMKG conveyed the potential for light rain in the areas of Ambon, Ternate, and Jayapura. Meanwhile, moderate rain can occur in Sorong, Nabire, and Jayawijaya, as well as cloudy weather in Merauke and Manokwari.
