Democrats Guarantee AHY Will Be Amanah If He Becomes Coordinating Minister In Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet

Chairman of the DPP Democrat Party Herman Khaeron guarantees that the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) will be trusted if he is appointed as Coordinating Minister in the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet.

"Even if it is mandated to Mas AHY, of course, God willing, it will be carried out well by Mas AHY," Herman said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 4.

He also asked all parties to pray for AHY to be appointed as a minister in the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet.

"Yes, just pray that hopefully he will be trusted and given a big mandate and God willing, Mas AHY will be given any trust that can be carried out properly," he said.

Despite this, the Democrats fully handed over the decision regarding the determination of the seat of minister of the upcoming government cabinet to Prabowo Subianto as president-elect.

"Yes, we leave everything to Pak Prabowo because Pak Prabowo is currently compiling, and of course whatever is decided will become Pak Prabowo's prerogative as president," he said.

"Yes, we will wait for the announcement by the next president," he continued.

In the cabinet of the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin government, AHY served as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) after being sworn in on February 21, 2024.

As for the rumors, the eldest son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will become the Coordinating Minister (Menko) in the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet.
