Jambi Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Female Killers In Closet

Jambi Police have arrested a man who is a suspect in the murder of a woman whose body was put in a cupboard.

Jambi Police Chief Kombes Eko Wahyudi said the suspect with the initials DS, was arrested in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra.

The motive for killing the victim RW (30) was because he wanted to control the victim's assets and valuables.

DS is a RW date, but there is a desire to control the victim's valuables.

On September 25, 2024, DS visited RW at the boarding house in Pakuan Baru, South Jambi, Jambi City. Arriving at the boarding house, the perpetrator carried out the persecution, causing the victim to die.

The perpetrator immediately put the victim in the wardrobe by covering his mouth and tying the victim's hand. After that, the perpetrator carried the victim's valuables such as cell phones and jewelry.

RW victim was found by his colleague in the cupboard after several hours the victim could not be contacted.

Then the police intensively examined witnesses and searched CCTV. The police found a man wearing a jacket and mask entering the victim's room.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code and 365 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence that caused death. The perpetrators are threatened with murder with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.

"There is no other motive, the suspect wants to control the victim's valuables," said Eko.

The police confiscated a number of evidences such as cell phones, and the victim's valuables, namely jewelry.
