Police Didn't Find Bomb Series In Suspicious Books At The Melawai Bus Stop
JAKARTA - Brimob Polda Metro Jaya did not find a series of bombs in a book-shaped magazine found at the Melawai Shelter, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta
"However, we are still suspicious. We are afraid that it will take the form of a letter bomb, so we will take it to the Gegana Headquarters," said the Commander of the Brimob Unit of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Gatot Mangkurat as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 2.
He explained that the book would be parsed to ensure there were no explosives in the thick book with a provocative cover.
Meanwhile, the Head of South Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Azis Andriansyah, explained that his party would investigate the existence of the book through surveillance cameras around the location.
"The object has been handled by the Jibom team and moved from its original location at the TKP to the Jibom Team for further examination," he said.
The police then removed the police line around the Melawai Stop on Jalan Melawai Raya, South Jakarta.
The traffic flow that was previously closed has reopened.
