Jorginho Misses Naples And Doesn't Like The Cold Weather In London, Stay Or Leave Chelsea?

JAKARTA - Two months ago, Jorginho indicated he was ready to leave Stamford Bridge to avoid bad weather in England and return to Serie A.

His agent Joao Santos will also consider his players returning to his former club Napoli whenever possible. However, he has now denied the comments, insisting his client will remain in London.

“He has a two-year contract with Chelsea. He will play in the European Cup and then the World Cup in Qatar. "He will stay with Chelsea, 100 percent," Santos told Tuttomercato.

Santos said he did not want to rush into discussing the extension of the 29-year-old midfielder's contract. "We will talk about it in a few months," he added.

Jorginho is now in his third season with Chelsea after following coach Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018.

Sarri has only lasted one season in west London but Jorginho has remained and has proven himself to be a key player for Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel with 126 appearances and scoring 16 goals so far.

However, he has frequently been linked with a transfer to a Serie A club and rumors of a return to Napoli have intensified last month amid reports that his former coach Sarri will also return to Naples.

Jorginho reinforced the rumors after admitting he misses Napoli and dislikes the cold weather in London, but he looks set to stay in the Premier League until at least his contract expires in 2023.
