Ignored For Years, Korpri Karawang Asked To Immediately Complete Pension Money Of 700 Civil Servants

KARAWANG - DPRD Karawang Regency, West Java (West Java), said that the local Korpri management should immediately resolve the issue of 700 retired Civil Servants (PNS) who collect pension payments or cadeudeuh money.

"We are from the normative legislature only. It is hoped that the problem can be resolved immediately," said Karawang DPRD Chairman Endang Sodikin when contacted in Karawang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, October 3.

The management of the Employee Corps of the Republic of Indonesia (Korpri) Karawang immediately resolved the issue and did not allow the problem to drag on.

"Retiring money is the right of those who have served for years as civil servants. So I think this must be resolved immediately," he said.

In addition to asking the Karawang Korpri management to immediately resolve the problem, Endang also admitted that he would communicate with the Karawang Personnel and Human Resources Agency (BKPSDM) to discuss this matter.

Meanwhile, representatives from hundreds of retired civil servants in 2022-2023 within the Karawang Regency Government (Pemkab), previously visited the Korpri office, they asked for payment of pension money or cadeudeuh money which was their right.

One of the former civil servants of the Karawang Regency Government, Juhdiana, said that many retirees have been around for years but have not also received pension money from Korpri Karawang.

During his time as a civil servant, there was a monthly deposit from civil servants to Korpri Karawang, as the only organization and forum for gathering civil servants.

The monthly deposit to Korpri Karawang came into effect from the time someone became a civil servant to retirement. Then when they retired, they got Rp. 14 million from Korpri, which was their monthly deposit during their time as civil servants.

Juhdiana said that until now there are hundreds of retired civil servants who have questioned the rights of their pensioners from Korpri. They are retirees in 2022-2023.

From the information obtained, he said, the number of retired civil servants who have not received pension money from Korpri Karawang is around 700 people, so that currently the rights of retired civil servants that have not been paid by Korpri Karawang have reached around Rp9.8 billion.
