Viral Flushing Santri With Chili Water, Wife Of Islamic Boarding School Leader Arrested By Police

The West Aceh Resort Police (Polres) arrested a wife of the head of a boarding school (ponpes) with the initials NN (40) who was in Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh. NN was arrested for allegedly pouring chili water on a student who was still a child.

Meanwhile, a mother tries to wash the victim who continues to cry. However, the pain and heat that was unable to be held back made the victim jump into the bathtub.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Aceh Police, Iptu Fachmi Suciandy, said NN was arrested after the police received a report from the victim's family on Tuesday, October 1 at 18.00 WIB. Then, the West Aceh Police investigator team asked for information from the victim and examined a number of witnesses related to the case.

"Last night after the video of the incident, we received a report from the victim's parents. Then we carried out an intensive examination of the victim and witnesses," said Iptu Fachmi Suciandy, Wednesday, October 2.

The victim was tortured in the form of chili water sprinkling on Monday because he was caught smoking and was sentenced at the educational institution.

"As a result of our examination, this victim is a student at the village (pesantren). He committed a violation because he was caught smoking so he was given a sanction with a barber to a bald head. However, the victim was given another penalty by the perpetrator who is the wife of the head of the village using this chili water," he explained.

Police are still investigating this case, including finding out the rules at the pesantren regarding punishments for violating the rules.
