Jambi Police Name 5 Suspects Of Bullying Junior High School Students, But Not Detained
Jambi Police have named five people as suspects in the bullying of victim R (14) who is a junior high school student in Jambi City.
Head of PPA Jambi Police Satreskrim Ipda Luh Praba Pratiwi said the five suspected perpetrators of bullying were children.
The five of them abused the victim and made a video of the abuse.
"All the perpetrators of children, all of them were recorded in the video, including those who videoed the bullying," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 2.
Against the five suspects who are still children, the police did not make arrests because the condition for child perpetrators to be detained was that they had to be over 14 years old and there was a criminal threat of more than seven years.
He emphasized that related to this, it is included in cases of violence against children with a criminal threat of 3.5 years.
"So for this case, no one can be detained, that's why they are obliged to report," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim of bullying, namely R, is currently still being assisted by UPTD PPA to restore the victim's psychology.
From the results of the psychological examination, it is known that the victim was traumatized by the bullying incident.
"Indeed, yesterday the results were traumatized, now accompanied by UPTD PPA psychologists, hopefully they will recover soon," he said.
Videos of bullying against R have been spread on social media since Thursday (19/9).
From the video circulating, it can be seen that R received acts of persecution from several people recorded on the video.
This bullying occurred due to a dispute between the victim and the perpetrator. In the viral bullying video, it has its respective roles.
The victim and her family then went to the Jambi Police to make a report on the violence that occurred to R.
